Reporting to the Director-I/C, the Manager - Business Development will be responsible for playing a key role in Sales Prospecting, Lead Generation, Presentation, Pre-Sales  and Sales Closing.

The desired candidate will possess a business development/sales background that enables to engage at all levels of a customers and will also demonstrate a strong technical competency focused on the GIS/IT landscape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements,evaluating options and financials.

  • Building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Manager - Business development at Geosys,you will be the first point of contact to the client and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy while driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and building strong relationships with clients.

  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

  • Participate and Present at Industry Events and Expos

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.

  • Organize business meetings with existing and prospective clients.

  • Position and Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.

  • Prepare sales contracts and establish company guidelines.

  • Develop Proposals  as needed

  • Provide response to  E-Procurement Bids and Participate in Pre-Bid Meetings.

  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.

  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

  • Prepare and give business reviews to the management.

  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Able to build and manage a Team.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s  degree in Business Administration, Marketing,  Commerce or relevant field.

  • 2-4 years of Business Development / Sales and Marketing experience.

  • Relevant B2B  and B2C sales experience.

  • Good  communication skills in English and regional languages.

  • Well versed with the use of Office,Sales/CRM Applications.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A strong sense of initiative in managing and working along with diverse teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • A goal-oriented individual with the ability to multitask efficiently and pay close attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle objections from client's end and turn them into opportunity.

  • Ability to identify the pain point of a client and offer a solution through one or other product or service.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences in simple terms.

  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

  • Business acumen, intrapreneurial and problem-solving attitude.

  • A goal-oriented individual with the ability to multitask efficiently and pay close attention to detail.

  • Ability to work  independently as well as in a team environment.
