Web API's Online Training Course

This course teaches how to use the GIS API’s for Flex, Silverlight and JavaScript to efficiently develop high-performing, engaging web applications that meet the needs of their intended audience. You will learn about the components available in the Silverlight Platform, Flex Platform and JavaScript Platform and how to write code for a Silverlight, Flex and JavaScript based web applications, and how to incorporate ArcGIS services and ArcGIS Online content to enhance your applications.

Web API’s Training GOAL

Geosys Web API’s Development Training programs aims to give a strong theoretical foundation and excellent hands-on skills to prepare participants explore careers in and meet the challenges of the GIS world.

GIS API’s enables creating applications with an intuitive, visually rich, and responsive user interface. The GIS API for Flex, Silverlight and Javascript takes full advantage of the powerful mapping, geocoding, and geoprocessing capabilities of ArcGIS services.

System Requirements

  • Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or higher,GHz processor or higher.
  • 1GB of system memory.
  • Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 64MB of graphics memory.
  • 32MB free hard drive*.
  • 1024x768 screen resolution.
  • Audio output.
  • Broadband Internet access: DSL or Cable (minimum bandwidth 350kbps).
  • Telephone headset or speakerphone.
  • High-speed Internet connection.
  • Recommended web browser: Internet Explorer 8 or 9 (IE 10 is not supported), or Firefox. Cookies, JavaScript and ActiveX must be enabled.
  • Operating system: Windows XP, Vista, or 7.
  • 5Firewall configuration that allows access to specific ports. Proxies must be disabled or configured to allow access.
  • Ability to connect to WebEx conferencing software.

Software Requirement

You need to have high speed internet connection for your machine and no other additional software is required. You should have Skype and WebEx installed on your machines.

Before Class:
